I. Background
CLEC2D (C-type lectin domain family 2 member D) is also known as CLAX, LLT1, OCIL is receptor for KLRB1 that protects target cells against natural killer cell-mediated lysis, inhibits osteoclast formation, inhibits bone resorption and modulates the release of interferon-gamma. It is also a ligand for the human NKR-P1A (CD161) receptor, present on NK cells and T cells. Furthermore, The reference shows the pathway may as a potential immunotherapy targets.
